World Suicide Prevention Day is an annual event always held on 10 September. It is not a public holiday. The World Health Organization (WHO) and other organizations play a key role in promoting this event.

The event is for those suffering from depression, mental health problems, suicidals, suicide attempters, and those left behind after a suicide. The way to show awareness is to wear yellow or gold, preferably a ribbon.
